The Shop is has many rooms to visit with
treasures around every corner. Specially designed vignettes showcase
decorative items providing decorating ideas, "oohs and ahhs," and a lot of inspiration!

We always carry many natural animals or wildlife "critters."
These are made from natural materials like grasses, seeds, nuts, bark,
chili peppers, pine cones, etc. At any time, this can include rabbits,
squirrels, birds, snowy owls, hedgehogs, frogs, roosters, horses, cats,
reindeer, deer, chickens & chicks, pheasants, zebra, turkeys, geese, ducks,
giraffes, etc. You can also use these for seasonal decor such as
rabbits for Easter, turkeys for Thanksgiving, or reindeer for
Christmas. We also carry natural "nests" and "eggs" for birds to
complete a look. SO Cute!

| Handcrafted Haitian Oil Drum Wall Decorations
Oil drums are Haitian artists raw
materials. The process of converting oil drums into sculptures
is both a tribute to man's imagination and resourcefulness in
the face of dire economic need. These artists first removes both
ends of the oil drum. (The ends are then used for smaller
sculptures.) Next, the drum is stuffed with straw and lit on
fire to burn off any residues. When it cools down, it is sliced
down one side and flattened into a four by six foot piece of
metal canvas. The artist then draws the design with a stick of
chalk. Next--with only a hammer and a chisel--the design is cut
and the sculpture comes alive with imaginative images, such as
"Noah's Ark" on the left in the above photo. |
